I love developing usable and rich web applications using the latest techniques available.

Hi again :)

It’s been quiet for some weeks, so I tought it would be time to post something again.

Last weeks there have been some interesting updates, which were especially important for Pagebakery.

First of all a new version of Cakephp 1.1 and 1.2 has been released.

Secondly Ext 1.0 has been released. This release also includes ‘Build your own Ext‘ which allows you to generate an Ext package with your own needs.

And last but not least, I’ve got some more news about Pagebakery. We’ve made some good progress last weeks and we’re planning to release the first developer release this weekend. It’s not gonna be a fully functional release, but rather a really early pre-alpha release to get some input from outside hopefully. Be sure to check out the Pagebakery blog this weekend!

Securing your JSON II

A few weeks ago I posted something about securing your JSON. Since then Joe Walker has been looking into a few solutions. He posted the following three:

  1. Use a Secret in the Request
  2. Force pre-eval() Processing
  3. Force POST requests

Ext 1.0 beta

Jack Slocum finally released Ext 1.0. He also released a new site and on top of that some more examples showing the power of Ext.

For us this is really great news, because we where planning to use Yui-ext in the backoffice of Pagebakery. Last week we’ve been testing some Yui-ext in combination with Cakephp and it works real smooth!
We’re planning to release a pre-pre-pre-alpha very soon, so be sure to check out Pagebakery.org in the next few weeks.
